Referral program terms

Version 2026-08-29 · operated by Seek2Seek LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. These terms supplement the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. You accept them when you generate your first pincode.

  1. Eligibility. The program is open to VRChat users, 18 or older, who have verified their VRChat account here and own a VRChat group with more than 500 members at enrolment. We check group ownership periodically; losing ownership suspends your participation. A drop in member count after enrolment does not by itself end it. We may admit or refuse anyone at our discretion.
  2. Your pincode. Your 6-digit pincode is a promo code, not a secret: anyone who enters it in a participating world receives the discount, and the corresponding sales are credited to you, whether or not the buyer is in your group. One active pincode per referrer; regenerating replaces the old one within about an hour. Don't misrepresent the program, spam it, or present yourself as Seek2Seek LLC or VRChat.
  3. The discount. A valid pincode gives 15% off the listed price of eligible items in participating worlds, rounded to whole credits and never below VRChat's 100-credit listing minimum (items priced at 100 credits carry no discount). Discounts are delivered through separate VRChat listings; VRChat's own purchase terms apply to every purchase.
  4. Your cut. You earn 20% of the net credits VRChat actually credits us for completed purchases made through your pincode's discount listings — after VRChat's platform fee, excluding your own purchases, and net of refunds, reversals and chargebacks (which are clawed back, including from later statements). Credits are converted to USD at VRChat's published payout rate in effect when the monthly statement is prepared; the rate used is recorded on each statement.
  5. Statements and payment. Statements are prepared monthly (UTC calendar months). Balances are paid via PayPal (balances of at least $5.00) or as VRC+ gift months to your verified VRChat account (whole months of $9.99; remainders carry forward), within 30 days of the statement once VRChat has settled the funds. A changed payout destination takes effect after a 48-hour security hold. Tax documentation (W-9 / W-8BEN) is required before payments to you exceed the yearly reporting threshold; in-kind payments count at their value. Sanctioned-country restrictions apply.
  6. What you can see. Your dashboard shows the purchases made with your pincode — item, time, amounts. Buyer identities are never shown to you.
  7. Fair play. Buying through your own pincode gives you the discount but never a cut. Fraud, self-dealing schemes, artificial or incentivised purchases intended to farm the cut, or abuse of VRChat's systems end your participation and forfeit unpaid cuts on the affected sales.
  8. Changes and ending. We may change the discount and cut percentages, participating worlds and eligible items prospectively, and may suspend or end the program or your participation at any time; earned, unforfeited balances stay payable. You can stop any time — your balance is paid out under the rules above.
  9. Relationship. You are not our employee, agent or partner; you may not make commitments on our behalf. You are responsible for your own taxes. This program is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, VRChat Inc.
